Book Submissions Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in Quill & Ink.

Please review all guidelines carefully before submitting.

We are currently accepting Literary Presentations for independently published authors, and upcoming books seeking promotional partnerships, and literary spotlight opportunities through the Quill & Ink House platform.

We are accepting work in the following:

  • Fantasy

  • Romance

  • Sci-Fi

  • Thriller/Suspense

  • YA

Quill & Ink House is a literary media and curation platform focused on connecting independently published authors with engaged readers through curated promotional experiences.

We are not a book publishing company.

General Requirements

All submissions must be written in English

All submissions must use 12 pt black text.

Accepted fonts include: Times New Roman, Garamond, or Courier New

Please submit all materials as a single PDF

Include all sections listed below

Incomplete Literary Presentations may not be considered

Authors will retain all rights to this work

Submission does not guarantee selection, collaboration, or future partnership.

Subject Line

Format

Email

The subject line for a Literary Presentation should follow this format: Title - Author Name - Genre

Example: 1984 - Eric Arther Blair - Dystopian Fiction

Email Body

Please include a brief 1-2 sentence elevator pitch summarizing your work.

Example: A teenage girl accidentally awakens a centuries-old Fae prince, forcing her to enter a deadly magical tournament in the dangerous and enchanting realm of Faerie.

Section I:

Introduction to Editorial Team

Please include a formal introduction addressed to Quill & Ink editorial team.

You should include:

  • Why you are seeking consideration through Quill & Ink

  • What distinguishes your work

  • Any notable achievements, recognition, or reception.


Section II:

Synopsis

Provide a full synopsis of your work.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 pages maximum

  • Include major plot points, central conflict, and ending/resolution

  • Marketing blurbs are not accepted in place of synopsis


Section III:

Book Details

Include the following:

  • Title

  • Genre

  • Sub-genre

  • Word count

  • Intended audience category


Section IV:

Themes, Tropes, & Content Notes

Include all applicable:

  • Themes

  • Tropes

  • Trigger warnings

  • Additional notes relevant to the project


Section V:

Comparable Titles

Provide 2-5 comparable titles, authors, or media properties.


Section VI:

AI Usage Disclosure

Disclose any use of artificial intelligence in the creation or promotion of this project.

Examples of usage may include:

  • Writing assistance

  • Outlining

  • Editing

  • Promotional graphics

  • Proofreading

  • Translation

  • Cover design

  • Narration or voice generation

Please be specific in the extent of your usage of AI.

If there was no usage of AI, please specify that in this section as well.


Section VII:

Publishing Details

Include all applicable information:

  • Publication status

  • Publication date

  • Publisher/imprint (if applicable)

  • Current sales or distribution platforms

  • Exclusivity agreements (Amazon)

  • Current ratings and reviews

  • Estimated copies sold to date

  • Editors involved

  • Cover designer and/or visual asset sources

  • Formatting/typesetting


Section VIII:

Author Bio & Contact Info

Include:

  • Legal name

  • Pen name

  • Preferred name

  • Email address

  • Social media handles

  • Author website

  • Short professional biography (100-300 words recommended)

Submission to Quill & Ink House does not constitute a contract, literary agreement or transfer of rights.

All rights remain with the author unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
